PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Changes to parking charges

BUDE-STRATTON Town Council has issued the formal notice that it intends to make changes to the parking charges and structures in the car parks it operates.

It is required to issue a formal public notice in local newspapers advising that it intends to make a new order which will govern the parking restrictions in the car parks known as The Parkhouse Centre, Ergue-Gaberic Way, Poughill Cemetery and Helebridge Park.

The notice states: “Notice is hereby given that Bude Stratton Town Council proposes to make a new Order pursuant to the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to be known as the Bude-Stratton Town Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2026.

“The Parkhouse Centre Charging structure for all days – £1.10 per hour. Campers and Motorhomes prohibited 11pm to 8am.

“Annual permits £225.00 Parking to the front of the Parkhouse Centre No Charge to park for Parkhouse Centre users. No Campers or Motorhomes at any time.

“Ergue-Gaberic Way £1.10 per hour. Campers and Motorhomes prohibited 11pm to 8am. Annual permits £225.00

“Poughill Cemetery Car Park– No charge to park limited to four hours. Campers and Motorhomes prohibited 11pm to 8am.

“Helebridge Park - No charge to park limited to four hours. Campers and Motorhomes prohibited 11pm to 8am.

“This Notice is intended to provide an indication of the Order’s provisions. A copy of the draft Order may be viewed at www.bude-stratton.gov.uk/council-car-parks-feb-2026 or by application to the Town Clerk: [email protected]

“Representations (objection or support) to the proposed Order must be in writing and received by March 25, 2026 addressed to: The Town Clerk, Parkhouse Centre, Ergue-Gaberic Way, Bude, EX23 8LD.”
