EVERYONE loves a puffin — an adult puffin was spotted in the Bude area recently, thought to have come from Lundy island on a foraging trip.
Post reader Rupert Kirkwood was kayaking from Millook early in the morning on Sunday, June 10 to do some wildlife watching.
He said: “The sea was quite quiet, just a few Manx Shearwater zipping past and a handful of Guillemots and Razorbills — plus a very late, and presumably very lost, swallow.
“Just off Widemouth Bay, this puffin flew right past my kayak with a whirr of wings and by sheer luck landed on the surface just behind me. I very carefully paddled up sun in the hope of getting that perfect picture.”
