HIGH honours were given for one cadet in the Holsworthy Detachment Devon Army Cadet Force (ACF) as they were promoted to full Corporal.

Holsworthy cadet LCpl Zak Loader, who is 15 years old, received his promotion to full Corporal as recognition of the commitment and reliability he has shown within the organisation.

Zak recently undertook and passed a senior five-day exercise on Dartmoor, which was part of his training. He also completed his bronze level Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Detachment Commander 2Lt Jim Harvey said: “Cpl Loader is a robust and reliable cadet who rises to all challenges and especially enjoys the field craft aspect of ACF training.”

The ACF is open to all young people from ages 12 and up and offers a variety of training opportunities.
