THREE army cadets from the Holsworthy detachment have passed a five day ‘Senior Cadet Instructors Cadre’ (SCIC) held at Bovington during the half term.

The course involves learning how to and then presenting lessons in Army Cadet Force (ACF) subjects such as drill, field craft and revision of weapons training.

Before departing for the course LCpls James Doyle and Sam Williams received promotion to full Cpl.

Detachment commander Lt Jim Harvey said: “This is a fantastic achievement for all three cadets and there is a noticeable improvement in their confidence and instructional capability since attending the SCIC.”
