THE commercial premises, which went under the hammer at auction recently, in the ‘Old Quarter’ of Launceston fetched £27,000.
Previously, ‘Cornish Delicacies’ 6-8 Church Street in Launcestion went to auction on Friday, March 24.
Receivers had instructed the leasehold sale of the ground and lower floor premises, including open plan retail space and a storeroom. The property was among the lots listed for sale at the latest West Country auction by Clive Emson land and property auctioneers.
Auctioneer Graham Barton said: “With open plan retail space and storage room, these former shop premises attracted keen interest and sold above their guide.
“The new owner now has the opportunity to follow a commercial enterprise or consider an alternative scheme, subject to the necessary consents.”
Colliers International instructed the sale of the property on the remainder of a 999-year lease from June 2006.
