A small field took to the links in this year's Jim Moyle Mixed at Bude & North Cornwall Golf Club, writes Barry Sykes. With the difficult format of foursomes medal the entry list was left to the more experienced golfers – those who could hit straight!!
Top pair on the day was Jean Reed and grandson James Urquhart with a nett 74.

Seniors Cup — With the weather very stable over the weekend and wall to wall blue sky the entries for the two days were up.
First off on the weekend was the Seniors Cup – a stableford format event open to both sexes. Ray Downes showed the field a clean pair of heels returning 40 points off his nine handicap. Ray returned a huge 24 points on the back nine which included three 3's from the 13th to the 15th lipping out on the 16th which would have given him four 3's on the trot. Top lady for the day was Muriel Giles.

April Medals — The 'April' Medals are actually three handicap categories rolled into one day. The Joe Reynolds Cup for handicaps 0-9, the Peter Crocker Cup for the 10-14 handicap and the Garnet Cup for those in the high rise flats of 15-28 handicap.
Five members broke nett 70 with Dean the practice machine taking honours on count back from Mike Beech. The top category was won by last year's Captain with a nett 68, the 'second' division was won by Dean Ryland and Ryan taking honours on the top category.
As a bonus the April Medals were a pre qualifier for the PGA Qualifier at Saunton next month (in old money – the Lombard Trophy) so Dean will be assisting Club Pro Mark Yeo in winning the day for a trip to Portugal.
