TWO childhood friends have been reunited in Bude, thanks to a plea published in the 'Post' last September.

Amanda Bateman appealed through the 'Post' for the whereabouts of her friend Angela Evanson.

Before long, Angela 'Ange' read the story in her local paper and got in touch.

Now, the two women have met up in Bude to chat about old times and renew their friendship.

Amanda, from Oakengates, Shropshire, says her husband, Kevin, and herself drove down to Bude for a few days to meet up with Ange and her partner, Bern.

"We were given a warm welcome by not only Ange and Bern but her entire family. It was lovely catching up and seeing family members I hadn't seen since they were toddlers."
