POLICE seized a small quantity of drugs believed to be cannabis from a property at The Tors development on Callington Road, Tavistock this morning after executing a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A male occupant of a Pew Tor Close residence in his mid 20s is now under investigation for a drugs related offence.

Seven police officers and two PCSOs from the force support group and local neighbourhood team conducted a forced entry to the property

Officers also made extensive house to house enquiries to ask the public to support them with information and to inform neighbours about what was happening.

Sgt Lindsey Walke said that drugs would not be tolerated.

‘Some members of the public seem to think that cannabis is ok and legal but it is an illegal class B drug.

‘We appreciate the help that the community can give us in letting us know any information regarding drugs in our communities.

‘They can either call Crimestoppers to remain anonymous on 0800 555111 or report matters directly to the police.’

The crime number for the above offence is CR/69069/22
