POLICE are investigating a suspected hit and run that left a man with serious head injuries.

The 26 year old was found on Smugglers Lane at Monkwood, near West Tisted, at around 9.45pm last Saturday. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The incident is being investigated as a potential road accident by the police, but officers are keeping an open mind as to possible causes and would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who can help with their enquiries.
