Point-to-Point headed to East Cornwall last Sunday (November 19) to race at the ever popular track – Great Trethew.

Six races were on offer starting at noon with 68 entries.

This is a popular course for maiden horses, and was with no doubt a potential to see many young horses and jockeys for the future.

First up was the flat race for four and five year olds, which promised to be an exciting opener — with many having their racecourse debut.

Catching the eye at first glance were both Woodlark and Impecunious, both out of the Les Jefford yard, either could have been a winning ride for jockey Anna Johnston.

Duaden Island is another who could have run well having a healthy mares weight allowance for the Robert Chanin team.

Spectators then saw the Dawe Haken & Dodd-sponsored maiden race with 21 entries.

Next up was the James Kittow Butchers-sponsored mixed open race.

Toad Hall Cottages sponsored the restricted race, and finally the Group Travel-sponsored confined race ended a great day of racing.
