Cornwall Council will be closing a stretch of road leading out of Widemouth towards the A39 in February.
Leverlake Road, between the junction for Combe Lane and the A39 junction between Box’s Shop and Treskinnick Cross will be closed from February 15.
A notice has been approved by the Council because works will be executed on or near the road to install a new drainage channel.
The works are expected to be completed by February 26 and the prohibition will be in force 24-hours a day, weekends included.
The A39 will be unaffected by these works and an alternative route will be signed on site.
The Council have also actioned an Order to stop traffic from driving on the B3254 between Trekelland Bridge Hill and Trewinnow Cross, Launceston, between the junction for Trelaske Lane and the junction for Drinnick Hill.
The Council were satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out bridge repairs.
The works will be started on February 22 and are expected to be completed on March 5.

Planning applications
Applications being considered by Cornwall Council currently include a construction of a new Scout Hut for the Jacobstow branch, after their old premises were demolished in November 2020.
The application proposes a Scout Hut to be built land west of Grattons Farm, St Gennys, which is just off Wainhouse Corner.
The Scout group have been fundraising for the project for the past three years, and have always been well supported by members and the local community – including Co-op, who chose them as part of their Local Community Fund.
Also in support of the application has been Mr Barry Jordan from St Gennys Parish Council. He said: “The St Gennys Parish Council believe this is in the interest of the young people in the parish and have no objections.”
No concerns have so far been raised over the application.
The plans can be viewed by visiting Cornwall Council’s online planning register and using the reference PA20/11125.
For a full run-down of all the planning applications being processed at the moment see the Public Notices page in this week’s Post
