PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

LAUNCESTON: The B3254 between Rockwell and St Stephen’s Hill in St Stephens, Launceston is set to be closed from 7pm to 7am on August 3.

The closure is to enable the replacement of a damaged cover in the carriageway.

The road affected is the B3254 between Rockwell and St Stephen’s Hill between the junctions with Barracadoes and Duke Street.

Pedestrian access to the properties will be maintained during the closure.

LAUNCESTON: Buckles Hill in Warbstown, Launceston is set to be closed on August 5.

The closure is set to take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm and is necessary for ducting works to take place.

The road affected is Buckles Hill, Warbstow between the junction providing access to Penwenham and the property known as The Cottage.

Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained to properties.

BUDE: A footpath in Bude is set to be subject to a closure between August 4 and September 14.

It is necessary for gas mains replacement works and the closure will be enforced 24 hours a day.

The public right of way affected is the footpath between the junctions with Bramble Hill and Broadclose Hill.

An alternative route will be signed on site.

BUDE: Holnicote Road in Bude is set to be closed between August 3 and September 4.

The closure is necessary as part of gas mains replacement works being undertaken in the area, which has led to multiple road closures across the town.

The road affected is Holnicote Road in Bude for its entire length.

An alternative route will be signposted on site, and there will also be the maintenance of pedestrian access to properties.

ST TUDY: The road from Beacon Lane to Bearoak Hill in St Tudy is set to be closed between August 3 and August 7.

It is to be closed to enable drainage repair works to be undertaken by Cormac Solutions Ltd.

Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties throughout the period of closure and an alternative route will be signposted.
