PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Road closures

LAUNCESTON: A NUMBER of roads in and around Launceston will be subject to road closures between February 16 and February 20 in order for resurfacing of the roads to take place.

The closure will be between 7.30am and 5pm on weekdays and primarily affects the roads on the B3257 route in addition to the A388.

The roads affected are as follows

• Langston Hill;

• B3257 between Lime Tree Way and Tremollett Road;

• B3257 between Tremollett Road and the junction north east of Clampit;

• B3257 between the junction north west of Kersbrook Cross and Almar;

• B3257 between Bray Shop and Tatlor Shop;

• B3257 between Taylor Shop and the A388 between Penpill and Launceston Road for their entire lengths, Launceston.

LAUNCESTON: St Stephen’s Hill in Launceston will be closed between February 16 and February 20 between 9.30am and 4pm.

This is to enable cabling works to take place with an alternative route being signposted on site.

Road affected: St Stephens Hill, St Stephens, Launceston between the junctions with Roydon Road and Dutson Road.

BUDE: There will be no access to the houses to the rear of Summerleaze Crescent between February 16 and February 20, it has been confirmed.

Cornwall Council have said that the prohibition of traffic is necessary in order to enable new water connection works to take place.

There is no alternative route available, however pedestrian and vehicular access to the properties will be maintained.

TREGADILLETT: Cracky Hill in Tregadillett, Launceston will be subject to a four-day road closure in order to facilitate necessary unblocking works to take place.

The road will be closed between February 16 and February 20 with the closure in force 24 hours a day between those dates.

Pedestrian and vehicular access to the properties will be maintained for the duration of the closure.
