PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Roadworks

WHITSTONE: The road from the junction to the south west of Lower Downs to the B3254 between Tackbear Road and Oak Lane in Whitstone, near Holsworthy is set for a road closure in mid to late May.

The road will be closed between 8am and 6pm for its entire length between May 18 and 20 to enable Kelly Communications, a contractor for BT to undertake ducting works. An alternative route will be signed on site while pedestrian and vehicle access will be maintained to properties.

BUDE: Breakwater Road in Bude is set to be closed between 9.30am and 5pm on May 18 and 19 in order to enable the installation of fibre cabling to be taken place.

The road affected by the closure will be between properties 1 and 6 Breakwater Road, and there is no alternative route.

Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained to properties.

BUDE: Princes Street and Bell Vue Lane in Bude is set to be closed between June 6 and June 10 for new water connection works to take place.

It will be in place for 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road affected is Princes Street, Bude between properties known as Sails, 3 Princes Street and Cornwall Hospice Care, 5 Princes Street and Belle Vue Lane, Bude between the junction with Princes Street and grid reference SS 20886 06612.

Pedestrian and Vehicular access will be maintained to properties.

ALTARNUN: The road which provides access to the Anchorage Reservoir in Altarnun is set to be closed between June 5 and June 10.

This is to allow ducting works to take place. The road will be closed for 24 hours a day during these dates.

There is no alternative route, however, pedestrian access to properties will be maintained.

LAUNCESTON: Badgall Road in Bagdall, Launceston is set to be closed between June 1 and June 19.

This is to enable capital drainage works to be undertaken.
