PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

LAUNCESTON: Windmill Hill in Launceston is set to be closed in late July in order to enable South West Water to undertake necessary works to establish a new water connection.

The closure is set to take place between July 27 and July 31.

An alternative route will be sign posted on site and access will be maintained for pedestrian and vehicles to properties.

LAUNCESTON: Newmills Hill in St Stephens, Launceston is set to be closed between July 27 and July 31.

It is to enable South West Water to undertake new water connection works.

The stretch of road affected is Newmills Hill, St Stephens Launceston between the properties known as Millcroft and the access to Newmills Farm.

An alternative route will be sign posted on site and access will be maintained for pedestrian and vehicles to properties.

WADEBRIDGE: Bishops Hill Road in Wadebridge is set to be closed for one day in mid July.

The closure will be in place on July 15 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.

It is to enable poling works to be undertaken, with the road affected being Bishops Hill Road in Wadebridge from the junction with Clifden Drive to the junction with Tinners Way.

Pedestrian and vehicle access will be maintained to properties but there is no alternative diversionary route.

TINTAGEL: There will be road closures in place between July 21 and July 23.

The roads affected are as follows: the road from Trelake Lane to between Sunnyview and Mill Cottage and the road from between Sunnyview and Mill Cottage to Trebarwith Road.

It is to enable ducting works to take place.

An alternative route will be signposted and pedestrian access will be maintained to properties.

BOSCASTLE: The road from the junction to the north east of Ringford Farm to the junction to the south west of Trebyla, St Juliot will be closed between July 21 and July 24 in order to enable ground investigation works to take place.
