STUDENTS in Year 11 at Sir James Smith's Community School have been looking ahead to the summer, and planning for their leavers' prom.

The event is to be held on Friday, July 4 at Bowood Hotel and Golf Club in Camelford.

Fundraising is now in full swing to ensure it will be a success.?Staff members Heliena McCarten and Sally Mason are working with pupils to ensure that July 4, 2014 will be an Independence Day to remember.
