A CHEQUE for £1,700 to Barnstaple Hospital for the Acute Stroke Ward was recently presented by the Parkhouse Patchwork Group, based in Bude.

On November 24, Jo Hendy, a member of the Parkhouse Patchwork Group, presented Karen Robinson, from Barnstaple Hospital, with a cheque for £1,700, for the hospital’s Acute Stroke Ward.

The money was raised from the raffle of a double quilt, made by members of the group, and was won by Linda Pickard when the draw took place in June.
