FROM Paloma Faith to the variety of support acts, this year’s Live in The Wyldes event, held near Bude, was a great success.
Thousands upon thousands of people attended the concert in the hot Cornish sunshine yesterday, including hundreds who bought last minute tickets on the gate. The day saw superb performances from all the support acts, not least UK singer Liam Bailey, whose summer-suited soul vibes captured the mood perfectly.
Paloma’s performance was nothing short of extraordinary and electrifying, and saw her announcing Live in The Wyldes as her favourite event. The huge arena crowd sang in unison, waved arms in unison, laughed, and danced as Paloma Faith played her biggest hits to a happy, sun-baked crowd, with Paloma bowing out of the show to an enormous round of applause.
Next up for The Wyldes is the ever-popular Leopallooza Festival on July 27, 28 and 29, featuring Kelis, Public Service Broadcasting, St Paul and The Broken Bones, Roni Size and comedians Russell Kane, Josh Widdicombe and Shappi Khorsandi, as well as many more bands, artists, DJs, comedians and theatre.
