THE Easter Story was performed at HATS Theatre, Holsworthy, on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, writes Sandra Shepherd.

The audiences, totalling 400 over the two nights, watched the story of Jesus leading up to Good Friday and continuing on from the wonderful events of Easter Sunday.

Beginning with the story of God's perfect creation, the scene was set with beautiful projected images of nature backed by Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring.

However, man's rebellion and independence from God in the Garden of Eden, brought an eerie darkness to the stage. Pink Floyd's 'Another brick in the Wall' was the backdrop for a drama depicting workers donned in hard hats and high-vis jackets on a building site, building a wall of separation between man and God.
