A LARGE crowd gathered in Holsworthy Square in warm sunshine last Sunday morning to applaud and cheer the runners and walkers who completed the 11th annual Ruby Run, writes Christine Williams.
More than 150 runners, some 90 walkers and four teams came from all over the South-West to take part in the run.
A new record for the half marathon in the Hatherleigh to Holsworthy direction was set by the first man home, Ian Gooding in a time of one hour, 14 minutes and 49 seconds, more than five seconds faster than the time he set two years ago.
