A LOVELY sunny and warm morning welcomed goers to St James Fete on Saturday, July 23.

The fete queen was crowned at the Lych Gate of the church, before the Bideford Pipe Band then led her and her court to Lamb Park where the event was officially opened by Mrs Diane Thomas, nee Nancekivell, who was the 1981 fete queen herself.
