AFTER the previous week's impressive victory against Plymouth Parkway, Bude didn't want to go in to this game half-hearted and they didn't.
Bude opened the scoring after an even opening 15 minutes, good work from Herbie Goodgroves down the right found Glen Bickle whose disguised pass in behind the Nanpean defence found Gary Hodgson's run who slid his shot low past the 'keeper into the bottom corner.
A Billy Hopcroft corner saw defender Dan Starkey head across the six yard box and Hodgson was there to flick the ball in for his second on 25 minutes,
Bude soon made it three with route one football, 'keeper Gary Dinshaw's long kick found Hopcroft who ran through to score.
Nanpean started brightly for ten minutes of the second half but against the run of play Bude scored, A Hopcroft cross from the right picked out Hodgson whose diving header saw him grab his third and Bude's fourth.
Nanpean then began to fall apart, Hopcroft got his second with a close range strike, Simon Chadwick's through fall found Wes Pugh's well timed run and he scored with confidence. Stevie Box and Jason Ferret both came off the bench to bag Bude's seventh and eight , a close range effort from Box and a half volley from Ferrett.
Nanpean 'keeper Jason Waters was possibly man of the match as he pulled off save after save in the final 25 minutes was unable to stop Bude increasing the scoreline with striker Tommy Statton getting in on the act with a fine strike from the edge of the box.
