Members, ministers and friends of Holsworthy's Bodmin Street Methodist Church, both past and present, flocked to the chapel last week to celebrate the centenary of the its opening.

Celebrations began on Sunday, April 25 when morning worship was conducted by Rev Martyn Atkins, general secretary of the methodist church, followed by lunch which was attended by more than 100 people.

The church was opened on April 28, 1910 so throughout the last Wednesday, members and friends gathered in the school room to reminisce and celebrate this milestone in their chapel's history over a coffee, a light lunch or cream tea.
