Rehearsals for Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society’s pantomime ‘Dick Whittington’ are just beginning.

The main roles have been cast but there are vacancies for anyone who would like to join the chorus.

If you can sing a little and do not mind getting on stage, why not give it a go?

The performances run from Monday, January 25 to Saturday, February 6 2016. Rehearsals are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from now onwards.

You do not need any previous experience, or be able to read music. One of the panto’s directors, Eve Earles, said: “We have people of all ages in our chorus, from 13 years old up, to over 80.

“We’re a very friendly group and we have a lot of fun.”

Costumes are provided. If you are not keen on being on stage, you could always help out backstage with one of the many supporting roles such as costumes, scenery, lighting and so on.

If you are interested in taking part, come along to one of the Monday night rehearsals, which start at 7.30pm sharp, or call Eve on 01409 220293.

Enter the theatre from the side door to the left of the building, which is in Bodmin Street, Holsworthy, EX21 6BH.
