BUDE-STRATTON Town Council discussed whether or not to grant council staff an extra day off for St Piran's Day at their March 3 meeting.
The council receives a letter each year from The Celtic League which asks town and parish councils to consider making St Piran's Day an annual holiday for council staff.
In discussing the matter, Cllr Nick Compton said: "I'm against it. I think there are enough bank holidays anyway."
