THE children at Werrington Primary School are over the moon with their fabulous new sandpit and shelter.
The sandpit was provided by the Friends of Werrington School Association Committee (FOWSA), who have carried out various fundraising events in order to provide this for the children. The sandpit was made by local carpenter Steve Sampson, who, along with his brothers, attended the school themselves.
Assistant headteacher Mrs Melanie Cripps said: "The children are so excited to have their new sandpit, which is a wonderful addition to their playground. We are so grateful to the FOWSA Committee and Mr Sampson for providing this for us."
