ON SUNDAY, October 21 at Coast Church, Jacobstow, Bryan Hazeldine was commissioned to the team of street pastors who patrol the streets of Bude every Saturday night, dedicated to the safety of all those enjoying their night in the town.

Bryan is a volunteer in common with all the team who are drawn from six different churches in the area.

Every evening a back-up team of prayer pastors at Neetside provides support for the team on the street.

Street pastors bring a friendly, reassuring presence to Bude’s streets, together with help which includes flip-flops, bottled water, space blankets and assistance in many and varied forms.

The aim of the street pastors is to bring care, to listen and to help.

Both the street and prayer teams are always looking out for volunteers and chairman Colin Manning would welcome contact with anyone interested in knowing more, on 07899 913 733.

Street pastors is just one of the expressions of service to the community of Christians Together in Bude and Stratton.
