TWO new exhibitions have started at The Castle, Bude.
On Saturday, January 18, the annual Budehaven students’ exhibition and The Castle’s very own archive exhibition began.
The latter exhibition presents documents donated by Kivells Estate Agents, who have been serving the local community since 1885. Some of the artefacts date as far back as the 1930s and 40s.
Displays include original sales posters, catalogues and photographs of houses, hotels and other buildings from Bude and the surrounding area.
Alongside items from Kivells, there will also be objects from The Castle archive to complement the exhibition. ‘Bude for Sale’ will provide visitors with a fascinating insight into the history of public buildings, many of which no longer exist in their original form.
The exhibitions in The Castle, Bude, will run until February 13 and is open seven days a week with free admission.
