ONE of St Breward's oldest residents, Grace Masters, her daughter Alison and churchwarden Jeremy Hooper (pictured above) were three of the first users of the recently refurbished west door at St Breward Church, where a disabled entrance has been opened up. They attended a Christmas Eve communion at the church. The disabled entrance is just one of the latest improvements to the building's amenities that have been made at the church over recent months, which include a new entrance gate to the road, a composting loo and kitchen facilities. Also at the service was 12-year-old Matthew Hooper, who was visiting his grandparents in St Breward (his grandfather, Mr Hooper, is pictured above). Matthew lives in San Clement, Orange County, California, USA and visited the village with his parents and sister. Matthew was baptised in St Breward Church in 1999.
