WHICH genius, I wonder, is responsible for the erection of the new bus 'shelter' on Roydon Road? Obviously not a bus user. As one of the unfortunates who regularly waits at this stop, for anything up to half an hour, due to frequent traffic-flow problems, I'm not eagerly anticipating my next trip to town.
The old shelter was an eyesore, but at least it offered meagre protection from the elements, and a 'seat' on which to perch. The new one might, possibly, give shelter from a light shower of vertical drizzle.
Never mind, there is now a shiny new advertising panel to entertain us as we stand, wearily, becoming saturated and hypothermic.
