THE Neighbourhood Plan for Bude is finished and ready for submission to Cornwall Council, and town mayor cllr Lea Deely, chair of the Steering Group, hopes that she and all the others that have worked on it over the past three years have done the people of Bude and Stratton proud.
Cllr Deely updated the Bude-Stratton town council planning committee of the status of the plan at their meeting at the Parkhouse Centre last Thursday.
She said: “The consultants are making the final touches to the document as we speak and it will be brought to full council for the December meeting for the ratification and transmission to Cornwall Council.
“This is the culmination of over three years’ work by very many volunteers on the Steering Group and in working groups. It will not be possible to change the document at this stage since it is an accurate representation of the views of the residents of Bude and Stratton who have submitted their wishes by means of surveys and on line consultations.”
Cllr Lesley Moores congratulated Cllr Deely for all the time and effort she has put into the plan on behalf of all the people of Bude.
