A NEW campaign has been launched to get more young people into work by recruiting an extra 300 apprentices across Cornwall in the next 100 days.
North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson is backing the Cornwall Apprenticeships campaign and is hosting an event in Bodmin for businesses in North Cornwall who might like to take on an apprentice.
The campaign also has the backing of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership through its Employment Skills Board, the National Apprenticeship Service and local businesses.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the campaign — as well as about the support and financial incentives available for taking on an apprentice — can attend the event at 4.30pm on January 17 at the St Mary's Parish Centre in Bodmin.
