Charismatic UKIP MEP Nigel Farage was at the White Hart, Launceston on Monday, October 27 and a large and enthusiastic gathering were enthralled by his impassioned address in which he laid out UKIP's stance on the European Union, the effect it has on our lives and how the party remains committed to campaigning for a referendum on continued British membership. He also treated the audience to a look at his earlier life as a commodities trader in the city and told many humorous stories about how UKIP came into being and the first time he stood in an election where one of the candidates was Screaming Lord Sutch! Many tales were told about his fractious relationship with the European Parliament and there was ample opportunity for questions from the floor which were all answered most ably before the evening drew to a close as he signed copies of his new book 'Fighting Bull.'

Nigel is pictured above talking to an enthusiastic audience of around 100 people.
