A GRANITE memorial plaque has been unveiled in Launceston's Coronation Park, to mark the extensive and often un-noticed work undertaken by the late Eric Chapman.
The trustees of the park, along with members of Eric's family, town and county councillors, unveiled the plaque on Saturday in glorious sunshine.
Eric was the former chairman of the trustees. The present trustees felt that his tireless work for Coronation Park should be officially marked.
Chair of trustees and mayor of Launceston Cllr Dave Gordon said: "Eric was a tireless custodian of Coronation Park, who very often went about getting things done in a quiet way."
