THE mayor of Camelford, Cllr Claire Hewlett, was re-elected as chairman of the Camelford Community Network Panel for the next 12 months at their latest meeting at the Poldark Inn, Delabole on Tuesday, June 11.

The panel’s community link officer, Tina McGrath chaired the short election asking for any proposals.

Cllr Dominic Fairman, who is also the Cornwall Councillor for St Teath, St Breward and Delabole, proposed that Cllr Hewlett stay on, saying: “She did a great job last year.”

After being unanimously backed by the parish council members in attendance, Cllr Hewlett then proposed that Cllr Fairman stay on in his role as vice-chairman, which he was more than happy to do.

Again he was unanimously backed.
