A man in his 60s has died in the street in a Cornish village.

Police and the ambulance service were called to Pengelly in Delabole at around 5.35 pm yesterday (July 10).

They had received reports regarding the concern for the welfare of the man, described as a local man in his 60's.

Paramedics declared the man deceased at the scene of the incident, with his death not being treated as suspicious.

"Police were called at 5.35pm on Monday, July 10, following concern for the welfare of a man in Delabole.

"The local man in his 60s had become unwell in the street on Pengelly. Ambulance attended and treated the man at the scene.

"Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious."
