POLICE are appealing for information after a man was found in the street, having suffered serious head injuries, following Hartland village carnival.
The 40 year-old man was found on the road at Harton Cross at about 2am on Sunday, August 14.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the North Devon hospital and has since been discharged following surgery.
Police said it is unknown how the man was injured and officers are requesting anyone with information or who may have seen the man during the night to contact them.
DC Terry Hodgson of Barnstaple CID said: “We are aware that there was a large number of people in the village during the carnival which was a very enjoyable community event and I would urge anyone who may have any information regarding how this man was injured to contact me at Barnstaple Police station.”
