MEMBERS of the Bude and Holsworthy Macular Group gathered on Tuesday, September 10, to receive a cheque from Waitrose & Partners Holsworthy following their successful inclusion in the Community Matters scheme.
Marilyn Chidley, Community Matters lead at Waitrose & Partners Holsworthy, visited the Macular Group to present a cheque for £389, which was raised from the store’s Community Matters green token scheme during the month of July.
Peggy Evans, who is the Macular Group’s most senior member, aged 102, accepted the cheque on behalf of the group. Group leader David Golding expressed his thanks to the customers of Waitrose for their very kind support.
