THE main event over the weekend at Launceston Golf Club was a Team Stableford with one score to count on the par 3 holes, two to count on the par 4s and all three to count on the par 5s. Enjoying the best conditions so far this year, and with the greens running fast and true, the competition was played in good spirit.

There was a separate competition for mixed team so there were two sets of winners. A few teams had difficulty with their score; no doubt a little rusty after the winter lay off.

Result: 1st, R Lea, J Joyce, T Frost 81pts; 2nd, J Rees, S Soutter, R Keith 80 pts; 3rd, M Swift, M Murray, M Jefferies 77pts.

Mixed: 1st, R Squires, C Squires, B George 72pts; 2nd, C Chegwyn, T Chegwyn, J Frayne 69 pts.

Two events were held for the junior members over half term.

The first event was an individual stableford, which resulted in a win for Tom Fox.

The second was a Junior/Adult Greensome, which saw the girls come to the fore with Sarah Basford and Dad, Derek, narrowly beating Bridie Sampson and Dad, Peter, for first place.
