1st Camelford cubs took part in a litter pick for the community. The cubs began their evening at the hut where they spilt into two groups, then made their way to Highfield via Clease meadows and Clease Road. The groups filled four bags of rubbish as they made their way through the alleys and estates.

A Camelford cubs spokesperson said: “Some of the children were sad by the amount of rubbish we found along the way, but at the same time keen to clean our community up! Some where even asking what some of the items where!! And why these things were just dumped instead of taken to a bin.”

Each time the cubs participate in an activity such as litter picking they earn a badge which they wear on their uniforms.

There are currently 23 cub members, but there is space for Beavers and Scouts from ages six to 14 to take part too. Adults are also encouraged to take part in any of the activities too.
