BUDE Arts and Music (BAAM) group are bringing ‘a little funk for your soul’ with their latest event — and it will be broadcast across the whole nation.
The music night set to take place on Saturday, February 6, will feature a live band — Jessica and the Rabbits — playing funk and soul music in two one-hour sets and three DJs coming from Soul Beat Radio to DJ between the band sets.
Soul Beat Radio is based in London and broadcasts across the nation daily.?As the DJs play their sets on the night, it will be broadcast for everyone to hear, not just those in the Falcon Hotel.
BAAM is a well-known organisation in Bude and surrounding area, especially since starting its own summer festival — BAAMFest.
It promotes and creates arts and music events, offering the community opportunities to gather in a relaxed and friendly environment, to create, enjoy and learn.
BAAM member Jason Friend said: “We aim to make our events as affordable and accessible as possible. BAAM doesn’t receive funding from government; we are entirely reliant upon our fundraising, the support of visitors, our loyal friends, donors and sponsors to continue our work.
“We love music, and we love to hear it live. We also love to dance, so we bring the two together whenever we can.”
Dancing is something that will be inevitable at the funk and soul night next weekend, as Jessica and the Rabbits and the Soul Beat DJs get everyone off their feet to shake off any leftover January blues.
Tickets for the event are £10 and are available from Bude Surf Cabin, the Falcon Hotel and online via eventbrite.co.uk using the following link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-little-funk-for-your-soul-tickets-20516803311.
