THE Holsworthy and District Lions presented a cheque to Mrs Gerrie Smithers of the Black Torrington village hall committee for the upkeep of a new defibrillator.
The committee has recently bought a defibrillator, which is kept in the centre of the village opposite the local pub.
The Lions donated £100 to help towards the upkeep and maintenance of the defibrillator, which is an important asset in rural areas like theirs.
