A LIFTON lady is backing a campaign to keep Southampton's Children's Cardiac Care Unit open, after her daughter was given life changing treatment at the hospital, writes Amelia Chubb.

Victoria Wells told the 'Post' that her daughter, Gracie, underwent a five hour operation at just six-months-old. She was then transferred to an intensive care unit for 12 hours and was in hospital for two weeks. Gracie, now aged two, has to make yearly visits to the Children's Cardiac Care Unit for check-ups, but this could change if the unit closes.

Victoria believes if she hadn't received the support and care from the hospital, it would have been a much more difficult time.
