THE ‘Lifton Bikers’ held a well supported cream tea and cake event at the Fox and Grapes Hall on Saturday, July 16, raising £1,152.

In September the ‘bikers’ will undertake a 1,000 mile challenge, raising money and awareness for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, on behalf of their close friend, Jeremy Durrant, who has suffered from the disease for three years.

The cycle will take the riders from John O’Groats to Lands End, and is expected to take 14 days to complete.

With the bike ride starting on September 10, the eight members of the Lifton Bikers are aiming to raise £10,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. They are Mike Wood, Martin Vanstone, Paul Davies, Malcolm Bird, Luke Harris, Alastair Batten, Paul Arscott and Adam Pengelly.

The Lifton Bikers are urging as many people as possible to donate to the cause and support their fundraising events. To donate, visit their Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/LiftonBikers/donate

Their next big event will be held on July 29 at Lifton Strawberry Fields and they would love everyone to come along and support.
