EXPLORING the influence of the Mughals in Bengal’s cuisine, is just one of the themes at one of Sonu’s Kitchen supper clubs run by Jayshree Mukherjee-Jones.

Sonu’s kitchen is an Indian cookery demonstration, supper club and catering business. It is based in Bradford and Cookbury Village Hall, but also caters at private venues.

Jayshree Mukherjee-Jones said: “I enjoy cooking food and showing people how to create delicious, flavoursome dishes. My aim is to bring exciting but traditional flavours to everyone.

“I learnt cooking from my mother and other family members in India and have recently started Sonu’s kitchen to offer authentic, delicious cuisine and demonstrate how to create it.

“The cookery demonstrations show how to prepare some dishes followed by a lunch or dinner where I answer questions and discuss the recipes.

“I will also soon be providing attendee participation sessions where you can try your hand at preparing some recipes.”

The supper club recipes are themed around different regions of India and vary from one evening to another.

Jayshree added: “I am passionate about food and my cuisine and look forward to seeing you at a future event. “
