TWO young local girls from the Launceston area were chosen as the winners of the Diamond Jubilee Lighting Competition.
The winners were chosen by the Lions Club of Launceston, with permission from the chair of trustees of Coronation Park.
The winners were chosen at a recent Lions meeting by all those attending. It was a very difficult decision, and there were entries from St Catherines School, South Petherwin CP School, Werrington CP School and St Stephens School.
The Lions extended thanks to all the children who took part in the competition.
The winners were Lauren Belringer, aged four from St Stephens School and Alice Billing, aged nine from Werrington School.
