A LAUNCESTON hair stylist has been presented with a top award.

Black Hair was proud to announce the winner of the Hair Awards Afro Salon Category at the an awards ceremony on Monday, February 27.

Beating four other nominees in the same category, Craig Chapman of Craig Chapman Hair Design came up trumps with his unique styles, fantastic photographs and charismatic personality.

Commenting on his achievement, Craid said: "Wow what a night! I really wasn't expecting to win as the competition was high, but to hear my name called out, especially so early in the proceedings, was a massive buzz! To be recongnised for my efforts in the afro consumer sector is fantastic, not only for my self but for my salon also." 

The night began with a 7pm canapé and Prosecco reception for the 300 star hairdresser and celebrity guests.
