THANKING those who have kept the town full of colour, Launceston in Bloom have presented prizes to the 2023 winners of the ‘Best Kept Hanging Basket’ competition.

The winner of ‘Best Kept Hanging Basket’ was  Sarah Bradley at The Byre in Broad Street. She was delighted to receive a trophy, a £50 gift voucher donated by Homeleigh Garden Centre, and a certificate.

The runner-up was Janice Jenkin of Undercover in Church Street, who received a £25 gift voucher from Homeleigh Garden Centre and a certificate.

A special award was also presented for the ‘Best Kept Troughs’, to Andrew Simpson and staff at Webbers Estate Agents in the town square. They received sparkling wine, confectionery and a certificate.

Georgie Adams, chair of Launceston in Bloom, said: “The three worthwhile winners of this year’s hanging baskets competition have worked hard to water and keep their displays blooming.    

“Each year Launceston in Bloom take orders from shops and premises around Launceston for baskets and troughs that are made up by Homeleigh Garden Centre.  

“A big thank you to all those businesses who took part this year to help make our town colourful through the summer months.”
