JENNIE Young, from Launceston, is taking part in the Walk for One Million in memory of her mother, who she sadly lost to ovarian cancer in September 2008.

Through doing the Walk for One Million — a 10k fundraising walk at Knebworth in Herts on October 7 — Jennie hopes to spread awareness of ovarian cancer and raise funds to support the work of charity Target Ovarian Cancer, which is organising the event.
