WORK on Launceston's Town Hall is nearing completion as walls are coloured, new lighting is being installed, electrical work is nearly finished but best of all; it's warm!

The new entrance has received additional, more effective lighting and the reception area has new doors and includes sight of the tower door with its glass panel — allowing a view of the stone stairs to the clock tower which was previously hidden in a small store room.

Last week the window coverings will be installed and pictures re-hung in the Guildhall. The pictures show the main hall from the new Mezzanine facility and the new doors from the old entrance together with the tower door.
